FINISHERS PROJECT DISCOVERY STEP THREE:  

This step provides our most advanced matching of your aptitudes To inquire about STEP 3, your Advanced Level of ministry exploration, follow the steps below:

1.Contact the IDAK Group and ask about the Ministry Match Assessment service. There is no cost to inquire about the service.
2.Register for the Ministry Match Assessment Service.
3.Receive your Ministry Match Assessment results. These will be two reports interpreted by your counselor. Your certified counselor will give you a clear and concise picture of your strengths transferable to ministry opportunities with very detailed ministry options that fit you.
4.After receiving your results proceed to STEP 4.

  • Service fees for the Ministry Match Assessment range from $155.00 to $795.00.
  • Be sure to request the Ministry Match Assessment that has special features developed for those considering a transfer from marketplace to ministry careers.

2. Register for the Ministry Match Assessment Service:

  • Schedule your counselor consultation sessions (the services can be provided over the telephone or in the IDAK office in Portland, Oregon).
  • You receive your packet of assessment exercises and aptitude tests. When these are completed, you mail them to IDAK for processing.
    1. Orientation session with your counselor to discuss your aspirations and questions. (1/2 hour)
    2. Interview assessment session (1 1/2 hours)
    3. Information feed-back session (1 1/2 hours)
  • (Normally all sessions can be completed in 2-3 weeks. Individuals who travel to the IDAK office can complete the service in one day.)
  • The Ministry Match Assessment is a complete service. It can be extended for additional sessions if you want more counseling or coaching.
  • When you register, you pay for the service you have selected.

3. Receive your Ministry Match Assessment results. These will be two reports interpreted by your counselor. Your certified counselor will give you a clear and concise picture of the following:

  • Your talent strengths that are transferable to ministry service.
  • Your passion or vision for ministry translated to ministry organizations.
  • Language and cross-cultural adaptability.
  • Adjustment to ministry service culture.
  • Opportunities for service from your home, within the United States or within English speaking situations abroad.
  • The benefits of short-term ministry.
  • How to sample a future ministry before you make a commitment.
  • Specific ministry roles or job titles tailored to your strengths and aspirations.
  • How to present and negotiate your unique ministry service proposal.
  • A third report prepared by your counselor summarizing these assessment findings and recommended options.

4. After receiving your results:

  • Go to STEP 4 which will link the results of your assessment to actual ministry organizations.
  • In Step Four, prepare a Ministry Service Proposal using the Finisher Web outline. This proposal only takes a few minutes of your time. It represents a summary of your Step Three results tailored to the ministry you are seeking.
  • Your proposal will be forwarded by e-mail to the organization(s) you wish to pursue.
